Not had a lot of mud experience with them but what they have seen has been dealt with well.ĭepends what you're wanting your tyres to do, really. No problems in the wet - I'd heard people say that the Grabber AT was squirmy in the wet but I never found that either. They were very good in the snow of this last winter - usual caveats apply even when the tyres are winter rated. Took them to Les Comes last year and they handled the rocky tracks well. They appear to be wearing better than the AT did, too. None of the wear-related noise that the Grabber AT had, they're excellent on road allowing some "spirited" driving to be done if the mood takes me. I've got Grabber AT3 on my RRS and have to say that they have been faultless so far. I wouldn't have chosen 20" wheels, but as my car came with them, I was quite happy with the AT3s and they were a little quieter than the previous Zeons. I never got to try them in the snow, or the mud, but on the road they were fine. I fitted AT3 tyres to my 20" wheels and they were fine, although I only managed about 1,000 miles before car was written off.Īccording to Andy at AJS tyres, this is exactly what the tyres were developed for (he was involved in the testing) I choose them as the best compromise for on road, off road and with the mountain and snowflake for winter use. ![]() Previously 2001 D2 TD5, 1996 D1 300Tdi, 1985 90 2.2 petrol.īikes! The guys at Tyres Direct in Luton are great to deal with, and can fit onsite. The UK weather really doesn't need us to have a changeover to a specific winter tyre like some European areas, and these fit the bill perfectly. I didn't and don't buy my tyres for looks, but as I have used the GG range before, it was the brand of choice for me. I had GG AT's on my D2, and tho' the car is noisier than the D4, they were absolutely fine. I've had the 20" 255 GG AT3's on for about 5 weks now, and have had no issues in the (limited) wet use. If I had 19” what size tyres could I go to to fill arches to but without causing probs I must admit I would like to go down to 19”. Not noisy to me, and I don't drive with radio on, and these days I have the windows open. One of the lives you save could be your own. Someone here bought 5 of these rims only from eBay for a cheeky offer of £150!!! Patience and cheekiness are the watchwords. I got 5 if these for total of £225, 4 on eBay for £175 plus 5th from a member here. Ignore most of the prices you see on eBay, they’re having a laugh. If you’re not that fussed on being in absolute top condition (good rather than mint), don’t want the latest (and most expensive) and are patient you can get a set of 19” rims pretty cheaply. Would it mean I can get bigger tyres, so in turn bigger sidewalks which should hopefully allow a better ride. Sorry to throw a load more questions out there but would you know if I did source some 19” rims I must admit I prefer the look of the Duratrac. There are lots of conflicting reviews on them particularly about wet roads so was wondering if anyone knows anything about them and also due to my ignorance would it matter that my tyres are 255/50 20 and grabbers are 255/55 20.ĭuratracs all day long, like nearly every tyre going they only get noisey when down close to the legal limit. So been looking at Goodyear DuraTrac which come in 20s but reviews say they are really noisy so now the other option is General Grabbers at3. Would really like BFG ko2 which I normally have but it means buying a set of the compomotive wheels which with BFG are nearly 2 grand and to be honest I am not even that keen on. Been looking at getting 19 rims but again it’s getting decent ones without paying a fortune. 20” landmark rims fitted on my D4 and very very limited to AT tyres or anything even remotely like. Really struggling at moment trying to source a tyre I like.

Overall XSOFT edition doesn't make a big difference from what I've experienced, yes its soft, but you have to concentrate pressure in one spot, its like a pseudo wrist rest at times because with the weight of your arm it sort of sinks into the pad a tiny bit. My mouse makes a scratchy sound when gliding on the pad due to small hairs etc stuck to the feet edges. It took a fortnight or so to get used to the mousepad and perform well with it. I tend to over flick sometimes so I don't find it good for consistency and low sensitivity aiming. But the glide is fast and with my GPW with tiger arc 1's my mouse glides very well, but a bit fast for my preference. I play Valorant mainly nowadays with 800dpi/3.77 in game currently ranked Immortal 3Ĭlose up picture of Weave difference Top is Hienįirst I got the Hien XSOFT and immediately you notice it's a different kind of mousepad, the feel is like super fine sandpaper except it doesn't sand. There are kids who come up and think we don’t want to interact with other cultures, but we weren’t into separatism. I didn’t want people to think we were all about Latino power, because we weren’t only about that. MS: With the flyers, I wanted to show the diversity of the shows we played. Pitchfork: Assembling material for the new compilation, were you trying to emphasize anything about the band in particular? We could’ve ourselves but we wanted to do it with Maximum and help them out a bit, which basically continues in the tradition of giving a lot of our shit away. The agreement between members of Los Crudos was that if we were going to bring the band back together it had to be done in Crudos style. MS: If it wasn’t a benefit, and it was a local show, the majority of the money was given to touring bands. The shows you’ve done since getting back together have mostly been benefits, too. Pitchfork: Most of the flyers reproduced in the liner notes are benefits, for anarchist community centers, women’s shelters, indigenous peoples’ organizations, and lots of other causes. The Latino punk scene in the 1990s is when people started identifying with it. Dogma Mundista… If you put all of those pieces together, you can create a narrative or a lineage. ![]() It’s in English, but it’s talking about immigration… The Plugz did "La Bamba" with altered lyrics in the 1970s. The Brat did a great song called "The Wolf". Chicano and Latino punks have been there since the beginning in Los Angeles, but the lyrical content wasn’t always focused on those communities’ experiences. MS: Latino punk existed in Latin America almost as soon as punk was a thing. Your documentary work shows its deeper roots. Pitchfork: Golnar makes the point in her liner notes that Los Crudos starting Latino punk is a myth. …We didn’t have the luxury to pick and choose our politics. I’m not going to speak for every Latino person, but a lot of our audience came from communities like ours in California, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, wherever. They don’t give a fuck if you’re an individual. MS: That has to do again with these bigger issues, which don’t have to do with punk necessarily, like immigration and deportation. Pitchfork: Crudos lyrics emphasize families and especially the perspectives of mothers, which strikes me because punk tends to be very individualistic. So, basically I can give a shit if some punk or hardcore kid was annoyed. If you remember, that was the Pete Wilson era, with proposition 187, which was completely anti-immigrant. …We talked about immigration, something that was very real to us. It was the first time for a lot of these communities-like feminists in punk, queers in punk, Latinos in punk-where there was finally space and time for these issues. ![]() I would never have come out of the closet at that time. All of the old-school people left, and what they left behind were the dregs: the most violent factions, the height of American skinhead culture. People can look back at it twenty years later and say that, but coming out of the mid to late-'80s punk scene-it was a fucking disaster. Martin Sorrondeguy: You have to look at the context. |
